Starfish and shells may vary or have slight imperfections. as the sea gives up different shells at different times based on tides, times of year, storms, etc. Some shells have natural defects. No hot glue is used in my designs. Industrial strength glue is utilized and should last a very long time. If a shell or piece of glass happens to come loose, it can be glued back on using super glue.
