The sand dollars are treated multiple times to harden them, but they are still very delicate and extra care must be taken with them. They should not be exposed to water. The findings are reinforced with jewelry glue to ensure they do not come apart, and the tops of the sand dollars are reinforced as well. These sets are made to order.
