Gorgeous, natural, handmade sand dollar necklace with genuine amethyst and freshwater pearl beads. The sand dollar is real and is painted in iridescent white pearl. It is accented with a real amethyst beads and a freshwater pearl. Amethyst is known for its calming power, so with this set you get the best of both worlds, a beautiful token from the sea and a gorgeous piece of the earth to compliment it. The pendant (approximately 1.5" across) is set on an 18", anti-tarnish stainless steel gold chain that sparkles in the light. Multiple sizes of chain are available. My sand dollars are treated multiple times to harden them, but they are still very delicate and extra care must be taken with them. They should not be exposed to water. The findings are reinforced with jewelry glue to ensure they do not come apart, and the tops of the sand dollars are reinforced as well. I recommend storing these pieces in their plastic bags when they are not being worn. These sets are made to order, and because of the multiple treatments take a couple of days.
