Industrial strength glue is used for all phases of this design and should last a long time. No hot glue is used. This candle holder can be used in any room, or even on a covered patio. It is not weatherproof and should also not be used outside in direct sun light, as the glue and starfish/sand dollar will break down eventually if exposed to the elements.
